Meet Our Dogs
Meet our retired boys and girls
Jack
He is retired, but rules my kitchen. He lets me know if my husband is in the kitchen by barking if he isn't and howling mournfully toward the kitchen window when he thinks he has been abandoned. He has always been a "my glass is half full" kind of terrier, even waiting for my husband to sit by him before eating his kibble. Then to be sure the kibble is OK, he takes them out 2 at a time and examines them prior to eating them.
Sad Sack Jack would be a better name for Jack - and he had a great failed romance as well. As I understand it, when he was living with another owner, he turned up missing! He was gone for several days. They located him at the farm down the road where he was living with his sweetheart in a dairy barn, a cow. The thought processes have not improved since he has been back with us, as he got into a tussle last summer trying to make sure that the younger dogs understood that he was in command. Jack's self-confidence was shaken only as long as it took to heal!

Benny
Known on the show circuit at CH TopFox DynAsty Calendar Girls Bentley came home to stay after earning his Champion status with professional handler, Judy Ellis. His brothers Tucker and Cooper were welcomed into pet homes. Cooper became a celebrity with my daughter's in-laws and provides entertainment when he visits Texas each winter.
Benny is either still as a pond or in high speed. He bursts out the back door and into the high ornamental grasses at the bottom of the yard and stands still so he can't be seen. Then I call him and he BURSTS back out of the grass pall mall running in my direction. He is a fun dog.

Carley
Carley is the second in command to Dreamer in the dog room. Dreamer, being the most senior, likes to believe that she directs all business.
However, when Carley barks "Jump" - all the dogs yell, "How high?" Carley is my heart dog - I fell in love with her when I met her at a friend's kennel and had to take her home. She is crafty and funny. There isn't a dishcloth that she can't pull down from the stove when I'm not looking. But best of all, Carley is a good momma to her puppies - even the grown ones.
Two of her sons still live with us. Benny and Trinity stick to Mom like glue. The three of them sleep together, play together and even stuff themselves into one crate when we travel.

Dreamer
Dreamer, known in the show ring as CH DynAsty's Dreamer, is a retired Champion Toy Fox Terrier and is the oldest of our dogs having been whelped in 2007. She finished her Championship by the time she was 9 months old and went on to become a Group placing special and a Top 20 TFT in 2008.
She retired and had two litters of puppies. Dreamer believes she is the Business Manager of the kitchen and dog room. If her minions come too close to her food bowl she will give them a good scolding even though she is in a pen because she has grown pretty feeble. Once out of her pen, however, she will swiftly hunt for unguarded toys to bring back to hide in her bed. I dread having to give any pills to her - she gets a lot of grinding mileage even with only 4 molars.
